Jesus Christ is our perfect example, and we strive with all the energy of our soul to follow Him. What qualifies someone to preach the gospel? And yet this seemingly inconsequential donation caught the Saviors attention. The diversity of persons and peoples all around the globe is a strength of this Church. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature (Born of God, Ensign, Nov. 1985, 6). By President Dieter F. Confidence, peace, safety, happiness and belonging can be found in Jesus Christ, His gospel and His Church. Why would anyone want to join such a church?, The couple smiled and said, We thought you would never ask.. Good or evil? Clearly, the Lord is building our spiritual capacity. This is the Church of Jesus Christ. He realized that each religion had much that seemed desirable and worthy. They willingly gave of their young lives without thought of earthly gain, wanting only to help others find the joy and peace they had experienced. This time of introspection is an opportunity for recalibration. When the Book of Mormon prophet Alma saw evil in the world around him, he turned to the word of God because he knew it had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto themtherefore Alma thought it was expedient [to] try the virtue of the word of God (Alma 31:5). Your testimony of Christ, born of the Holy Ghost, can help you look past the disappointing endings in mortality and see the bright future that the Redeemer of the world has prepared. For here you will find what is precious beyond price. But we earnestly desire to overcome our faults and the tendency to sin. Sometimes we assume it is because they have been offended or lazy or sinful. It may break our hearts when their journey takes them away from the Church we love and the truth we have found, but we honor their right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own conscience, just as we claim that privilege for ourselves.5.
